TREATY GATHERING

All 21 Lake Huron First Nations organize an annual gathering in the month of September to commemorate the signing of the Robinson Huron Treaty.

The 21 Lake Huron First Nations organize an annual gathering on or about September 9th each year to commemorate the signing of the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850.

The Inaugural Gathering commenced in 2016 with a pipe ceremony and canoe crossing from the United States of America side of Bawating (Sault Ste. Marie) to the Canadian side asserting sovereignty as a nation. Read about our latest gathering in the Robinson Huron Treaty Times below.
